Supply Chain Officer

Job description

The Supply Chain Officer is a key role in our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and optimizing supply chain processes within the factory, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of raw materials, inventory, and distribution. The role requires a strong understanding of supply chain logistics, planning, inventory management, and effective communication with suppliers, service providers, and all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Management

Coordinate and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement of raw materials (ingredients and packaging) and ensuring the supply of utilities, maintenance, production, and marketing requirements.

Monitor inventory to maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding excess or expired items.

Manage and lead local and international procurement activities.

Develop and implement strategies for inventory control to reduce lead times and improve delivery accuracy.

Lead warehouse teams across all locations to ensure high efficiency and performance.

Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to prepare KPIs and performance reports.

2. Production & Raw Material Planning

Oversee raw material planning strategies, including safety stock management.

Work with the Supply Chain Manager to prepare weekly S&OP reports for accurate production planning.

Ensure production processes align with raw material availability and address supply chain disruptions quickly to prevent delays.

3. Logistics & Warehouse Management (WMS)

Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery and efficient transportation.

Manage relationships with third-party warehouses, logistics providers, distributors, and transport companies to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations.

Track and analyze transportation costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, or obsolete items and take action to reduce waste.

Lead warehouse teams to ensure proper receiving, storage, labeling, and issuing of materials.

Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile differences between physical and system inventory.

Improve warehouse layout and storage methods to increase efficiency and reduce handling time.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

Use ERP/Supply Chain Management software (Odoo) to track raw material and finished product inventory, logistics, new item creation, and new vendor registration.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports for procurement, raw material planning, and inventory management.

Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize processes.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure all supply chain activities comply with local and international standards for food safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Maintain accurate documentation and records related to inventory, shipments, and production processes for audit and compliance purposes.

6. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

Identify and resolve supply chain issues that impact timely delivery or production efficiency.

Work cross-functionally to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and minimize costs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.

Requirements & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

3-4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory control, or warehouse operations (preferably in FMCG or manufacturing).

Experience using ERP systems such as Odoo is strongly preferred.

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
