Production Manager

Job description

A Dairy Company in Erbil is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Production Manager to oversee all aspects of the dairy production operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of dairy production management according to international standards, ensuring that the processes meet quality and safety regulations. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing production schedules, overseeing equipment maintenance, and leading a team to achieve optimal production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire dairy production process, ensuring adherence to international standards and regulations.
- Manage production schedules and workflows to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Monitor and report on the condition of processing equipment, identifying maintenance needs and coordinating repairs as necessary.
- Prepare production reports and equipment reports, providing insights and recommendations to the factory manager.
- Train, supervise, and manage production staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Enforce employee discipline and foster a productive work environment through effective management practices.
- Organize the factory layout and processes according to international standards to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality dairy products.
- Assist in the installation of new production lines and equipment, ensuring proper integration into existing processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements and innovations in the production process.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality control , quality assurance) to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy production management or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of dairy processing equipment and production techniques.
- Familiarity with international dairy production standards and regulations.
- Strong expertise in employee management, discipline, and team leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
