Job description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, supervision, and control of all warehouse operations across three company warehouse locations within the assigned zone. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective handling, storage, and movement of goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and uninterrupted supply to internal and external customers.
The Warehouse Manager provides strong leadership to multi-site warehouse teams, enforces company policies, and maintains high standards of safety, quality, and operational discipline. The role acts as a key link between warehouses and departments such as logistics, procurement, production, sales, and finance, ensuring smooth coordination, timely operations, and alignment with business objectives.
The position is accountable for inventory integrity, loss prevention, operational performance, cost control, and continuous improvement, including monitoring KPIs, optimizing processes, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and reduce operational risks.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations across three locations within the assigned zone.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure efficient use of warehouse space, equipment, and manpower.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage inventory control systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock takes; resolve discrepancies.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize damage, theft, or expiry.
Distribution & Inter-Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate inter-warehouse transfers and maintain balanced stock levels.
- Work with logistics teams to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inbound and outbound shipments.
People Management & Leadership
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff and supervisors.
- Ensure adequate staffing and proper shift planning.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address issues.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Enforce company policies, warehouse procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs, operational performance, and warehouse costs.
- Analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare reports.
Facilities & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and servicing of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Report and follow up on equipment or facility issues promptly.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with procurement, production, sales, finance, and quality teams.
- Participate in planning related to demand, stock, and operational capacity.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
Requirements & Skills:'
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably multi-site.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
