Job description
A local Advertisement Company in Erbil is in search of an experienced graphic designer to work in their design department. They are looking for a skilled and competent individual. Requirements include but are not limited to having strong writing, presentation, inter-personal, managerial and creative skills.
The Company offers design, print, and installation services across a wide range of projects, from large-scale American and European standard roadside billboards to smaller signs in airports, large transport vehicles, and shopping centers. Our classic models have played a key role in the expansion of housing and business developments across various cities in the region.
The goal is to build strong and lasting partnerships with clients, actively promoting their businesses and increasing public awareness of their products and services. Additionally, the graphic design team has assisted clients in establishing a strong corporate identity through logo development, website design, brochures, customer-targeted sign displays, and commercial advertisements, ultimately helping clients maximize their profit and business potential.
Job responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on market trends, competitors, and potential clients. Collect and analyze data on outdoor advertising opportunities and pricing.
- Meet with potential clients to present advertising options and tailor solutions to their needs. Build and maintain long-term relationships with companies, ensuring continuous follow-up. Provide clients with examples of successful advertising campaigns and offer tailored solutions.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets. Negotiate advertising contracts and pricing with clients. Handle client objections and criticisms with professionalism and tact.
- Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally. Prepare detailed sales reports, including market research findings and client feedback. Maintain communication with clients through various channels, ensuring their advertising needs are met.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for preparing presentations, reports, and email correspondence. Adhere to professional email etiquette and other communication best practices.
- Dress formally for all client meetings and company events. Demonstrate a professional demeanor in all interactions, both internally and externally.
- Creating corporate identity to companies through visual ‘’brand’’
- Finding out about the project requirements (taking a brief).
- Creating design concepts that fit the client’s needs.
- Creating final design, working to a deadline and budget.
- Amending designs according to the clients’ final comments.
- Proofreading and preparing designs to be sent to print.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts/relevant field.
- Prior knowledge and experience in relevant software’s (Adobe Creative Suite 4 including: Illustrator CS4, InDesign CS4, and Photoshop CS4. Knowledge of HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, Adobe Flash CS4, Adobe ColdFusion Adobe).
- +4 years relevant work experience in the field of graphic design and management, or other related functions.
- Familiarity with digital file formats (tiff, gif, eps, pdf) and the strengths and weaknesses of each. Must be able to perform a wide range of routine to complex duties including development of: publications, brochures, rack cards, posters, fliers, multimedia illustration, logo development, brand development, exhibits, and web-design.
- Individual must be able to multi-task and work under very tight deadlines.
- Must work well in a team, with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, website designers and outside marketing specialists.
- Must have a good understanding of the printing process, including working with and creating artwork for digital printers and presses.
- Individual should have familiarity with variable data collateral (variable data mailings) and must be able to set-up artwork to work with variable data programs.
- Candidates must have very efficient project management fundamentals I.E. (Project pre-planning, quality, post monitoring, risk, integration, scope, time and communication management).
- Candidates are required to speak English fluently, Kurdish and Arabic.
