Job description

The responsibilities of the Head of the Technical Department are to oversee the development and implementation of technology strategies that align with the company's objectives.

 This includes:

Project Management: Planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects. Defining the project scope, allocating resources, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed successfully and within specifications.

Training and Development: Professional development of technical staff through training programs, mentorship, and opportunities for skill enhancement to ensure they remain current with emerging technologies.

Compliance: Ensuring that technology initiatives comply with regulations, industry standards, and best practices, such as data privacy laws and cybersecurity protocol.

Team Leadership: Providing leadership and direction to the technical team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 

Requirements and Skills of the Head of the Technical Department.

1. Academic Degree: Candidate must have a BSc or MSc degree in one of the following Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.

2. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in technical roles such as software engineering, Electrical infrastructure, network architecture, and cybersecurity.

3. The candidate must have a deep insight into the industry regulations and laws. Familiarity with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive dynamics.

4. The candidate must have the ability to resolve a wide range of technical challenges. Must possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to think critically, and a knack for identifying innovative solutions to complex issues.
